Northern Territory Trip 2016
On Monday 27th June five students from RIST travelled to Darwin to begin the annual Northern Territory experience. This year the students will spend two weeks on two cattle stations before joining the students of the Charles Darwin University, Katherine Campus to assist in the showing of cattle at the Katherine Show. Team RIST went back to back at the 2016 Sungold Field Days Farm Challenge taking out first prize competing against 6 other teams in a time of 8 minutes, 25 seconds. See more.....



The RIST Graduation for 2016 was held on 24th January 2017 with 110 students Graduating.  The CEO, Bill Hamill addressed the 220+ audience on the important milestones the organisation had achieved in 2016, reaffirming the important role RIST plays in agricultural education and training in Australia.


The Romney Shears Shearing & Wool Handling Competition was held at the Warrnambool Show on Saturday 31st October, with a number of current and former RIST students, as well as RIST staff featuring strongly across all levels. See more...


Four RIST students traveled to the Northern Territory on a work experience program in collaboration with Katherine Agricultural College in July. They worked on cattle stations near Katherine, and then joined students from the Katherine Agricultural College to show cattle at the Katherine Show. See more.....
