Start Your Career In Dairy With RIST!
Launch your career in the Australian Dairy Industry by studying Agriculture at RIST. RIST is committed to supporting students to pursue a career in dairy with the opening of our new Terang campus earlier this year, located at the former DemoDAIRY site at 7161 Princes Highway, Terang.
The Terang Campus focuses specifically on dairy training, granting our students access to a specialised facility for the best hands-on practical experience, guided by teachers who have a wealth of industry knowledge to share.
RIST is the major provider of training to the dairy sector in South West Victoria. RIST has dairy industry partners for our students to achieve great success in gaining employment whilst they study, or upon graduation. We provide our employers with industry-ready graduates due to the quality training our students experience whilst studying Agriculture with a dairy focus at RIST.
Students who study the Certificate III in Agriculture with RIST can opt to specialise in dairy at our Terang or Hamilton campuses. At RIST, we continually work with our industry partners to keep our dairy industry education on par with current practices and expectations within the Australian Dairy Industry.
The major point of difference at RIST is our experienced teaching staff, who are passionate about helping each and every student achieve their dream career. RIST students have the opportunity to experience hands-on learning, meet industry experts, and experience many high-level dairy farms.
Our Dairy Coordinator at RIST, Bec Huth, has previously owned a 600-cow farm and has experience working with the National Centre for Dairy Education. Bec has been part of various industry initiatives, such as The People In Dairy and InCalf. She has also developed accreditation and training programs for NHIA and Dairy Australia. Bec has had an outstanding career in the Australian Dairy Industry and is excited to see her students succeed.
