AWI shearing & wool handling coaching workshops

May 5 & 6 and May 7 & 8, 2025 Dundonnell VIC

This hands-on, fully funded, coaching workshop will give beginner/novice shearers and wool handlers the skills needed to hit the shed with confidence.

Coached by industry leading shearing and wool handling trainers from RIST. Across two days you’ll learn to refine your skills in crutching, grinding & basic shearing.

Limited places – 10 participants per workshop.

All equipment supplied. Bring your own meals. Recommended for students aged 16 years and older.

Agricultural chemical users - short course

May 6 & 7 and May 21 & 22, 2025 Hamilton VIC

Upskill your knowledge of legislation, safety and best practice when handling or applying chemicals with our agricultural chemical users short course.

This accredited, 2-day course, is delivered in a practical working environment with AusChem Victoria accredited Trainers.

Upon successful completion of this course, participants are issued with a Farm Chemical Users Certificate (valid for 5 years) and are eligible to apply for the Agricultural Chemical User Permit (ACUP).

Operate tractor & front end loader - short course

May 13 2025, Hamilton VIC

Gain the knowledge and practical skills in operating a tractor and attachments such as forks, buckets & a slasher.

This one-day course allows students to get hands-on with machinery, ensuring they are ready to safely operate a tractor in their workplace.

Limited places – 6 participants per course. Participants must be aged 16 years and older.

Operate side by side utilities - short course

May 19, Hamilton VIC

Learn how to safely operate and maintain a side by side vehicle.

This one – day course gives students hands-on training to ensure they are ready to independently use a SSV in their workplace.

Limited places – 6 participants per course. Participants must be aged 16 years and older
