By completing the Certificate II in Agriculture you’ll be able to:
- Work safely around livestock, machinery and farm infrastructure
- Assist with livestock handling, feeding and basic animal care
- Carry out fencing, water system and general farm maintenance tasks
- Operate basic machinery under supervision
- Follow workplace instructions, safety procedures and sustainability practices
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members

This direct experience helps you build the skills and confidence needed to apply this knowledge in the real-world.

This training is supported by Victorian Government Skills First funding. Course fees may vary depending on individual circumstances and eligibility criteria to access government support. Students may also be eligible for a Scholarship.
Limited to small groups of participants.
Regular access to an agricultural workplace.
Completion of a Language, Literacy, Numeracy and Digital (LLND) pre-training review.
Years 10, 11 or 12 students aged 15 years or older enrolled in VCE, VCE Vocational Major or Victorian Pathways Certificate who are Australian citizens or permanent residents may be eligible to apply through the School-based Apprenticeship & Traineeship (SBAT) and get paid to learn.
