Students undertaking this course as a standalone, or as a Traineeship, can choose a wide range of industry-relevant units to suit their career goals and interests. RIST offers dedicated streams within the following industries:
- Sheep and Wool
- Dairy
- Beef
- Cropping
The Certificate IV course also begins to incorporate more business focused units such as Supervise Staff, Budgeting and Understanding Cost of Production.

Can I get credit for previous study/experience?
RIST offers the opportunity for students to apply for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), Recognition of Current Competencies (RCC) or credit transfer (CT) in all nationally recognised training that RIST is able to offer.
