The Rotary Club of Portland are generously subsidising a Weaners for Profit course for Glenelg Shire residents, under the Andrew Jack memorial fund for Agricultural training. There will be about 15 places available to commence training this Spring. Subsidised Course Fees are $650.

Now taking enrolments for Spring Intake of Heifers for Profit Course!
Heifers for Profit will give you the skills and confidence to manage your heifer’ nutrition to improve animal welfare increase future reproductive success, optimise stocking rates, and increase whole farm profitability. This course is ideal for a small group of 5 – 7 participants who are interested in learning new ways to find success on their farm. Heifers for Profit currently open to producers for $1,540 (plus GST) thanks to the support of Meat & Livestock Australia through the Profitable Grazing Systems initiative.

Agricultural Chemical Users Course

The Agricultural Chemical Users course enables users of AgVet Chemicals to keep up to date with changes in chemical use, new legislation, safety and best practice. Upon successful completion of this course, participants are issues with a Farm Chemical Users Certificate (Valid for 5 years) and are eligible to apply for the Agricultural Chemical User Permit (ACUP).
