RIST is a leading independent provider of accredited agricultural training and education. We were founded over three decades ago by a group of farmers and individuals dedicated to strengthening the Australian Wool and Agricultural Industries through providing excellence in training and education.
Today, RIST is recognised as one of Australia’s leading independent agricultural colleges delivering vocational education and training.
Students are trained by passionate industry experts via a blend of practical on-farm, skill-based learning in real-world situations underpinned with industry-focused theory.
Our graduates are adaptable, resilient, resourceful, and technically competent critical thinkers with a skillset sought by employers. They’re ready to actively contribute to an Australian agriculture industry worth more than $155 billion to the national economy and contributing an average of 12% to gross domestic product.

RIST is led by a highly qualified and skilled Board charged with policy creation, planning and strategic development.
We employ a team of staff that work remotely and on-site at the Hamilton Campus and Terang Campus and a network of industry expert trainers, with local, grassroots knowledge across a broad range of commodities and services, tasked with providing personal, tailored training and guidance to our students.
