Operate and Maintain Chainsaws

Learn how to safely operate a chainsaw with RIST

This course will equip learners with the fundamental understanding of how to safely operate and maintain a chainsaw.

In the two-day course, students will undertake practical training in basic branch and limb trimming as well as sharpening and cleaning of a chainsaw. 

Stihl have supplied us with new chainsaws & PPE gear, so our students have the best experience possible.

On completion of the course students will obtain a sense of independence and confidence when using a chainsaw.

Duration: two consecutive days

Restrictions: Students must be aged 16 or older

Fees:

without Govt funding: $450

with Govt funding: $100 *check your eligibility with the RIST office

Limited places – 8 participants per course.
