Our Certificate II in Wool Handling is an entry level qualification into the Wool Industry.
Under general supervision in one of our shearing / wool handling schools, students will learn how to carry out routine wool handling tasks, which include but are not limited to: wool pressing; board duties; penning sheep; observations & assisting in the preparation of the sheep for shearing and crutching.
Students will encounter six training days alongside two follow-up visits for this qualification. Typically, students will attend a week-long shearing school, which is conducted in a functioning shearing shed. Students will experience a real-workplace, including discussions with the grower.
