Graduates Ready to Contribute to a Thriving Agricultural Future
Rural Industries Skill Training (RIST) proudly celebrated the graduation of its Class of 2024 on Friday, March 28, at the Kantor Family Music and Performing Arts Centre in Hamilton.
A gathering of students, families, and industry leaders came together to honour the achievements of graduates who have completed their qualifications in various agricultural disciplines.
The event recognised graduates who received certifications in the following programs: Diploma of Agriculture, Certificate IV in Agriculture, Certificate IV in Wool Classing, Certificate II in Agriculture, and Certificate II in Shearing. These qualifications provide students with developed skills and expertise, preparing them to be workplace-ready in a diverse range of pathways across the agriculture and wool industries.

“We are extremely proud of the Class of 2024 and the dedication they’ve shown throughout their studies,” said Bill Hamill, CEO of RIST. “These graduates have demonstrated an exceptional level of skill and commitment, and we are excited to see them take the next step in their careers, contributing to the continued growth of Australia’s agricultural industries. The knowledge and skills they’ve gained here will serve them well as they move forward in their careers.” We also sincerely thank the support people of our graduates; their families, employers, schools and workplaces, your commitment to nurturing their passions for Agriculture and Wool has without a doubt shaped the success of our graduates being here tonight”.

The ceremony also included special awards for Excellence, Dedication, and Leadership. One standout student was awarded Dux of Studies, a prestigious recognition given to the highest achiever in Wool Classing.
Award recipients included:
- Excellence: Archer Cameron, Kerry-Leigh Hume and Molly Hocking
- Dedication: Taleah Murfett, Sarah Russell , Jack Addinsall and Darcy Finnigan
- Leadership: Sophie Taylor, Zane Thomas
- Dux of Studies, Certificate IV in Wool Classing: Natalie Morton
