July 2025
Your Next Step Starts Here. 2026 Program Information Sessions Begin Next Week!
An excerpt from our CEO
July was a month full of energy, connection, and opportunities here at RIST, as we continue to deliver quality training and strengthen our links with the agricultural community.
During National Farm Safety Week, we strengthened our commitment to safer agricultural workplaces by expanding our Side-by-Side Vehicle (SSV) training. Previously offered only in Hamilton, SSV training is now also available at our Terang campus, ensuring more farmers and workers can access the skills needed to operate safely. Safety is not just a week-long focus for us, but an ongoing priority in everything we do.
The first weekend of August also saw our team out in force at Sheepvention Rural Expo. It’s always a highlight to connect with our community face-to-face, showcase our training, and celebrate the innovation and passion that drive agriculture forward. A big thank you to everyone who visited our stand and joined in the conversations.

An excerpt from our CEO
No Break, Drought, Tough times on farm.
The ongoing dry seasonal conditions have taken a significant toll on our farming community in South-West Victoria. Our compassion is extended to our students, their families, employers and our community. In our effort to continue to grow and develop the next generation through the driest year in decades, we remind you we are are here to support you where we can. Finding moments of positivity in this shared experience testing resilience, finances and our spirit can be tolling. I encourage you to make it a point to connect with friends, family and community and remember that support is available.
