Welcome to another ROUND UP!

This week has been a special one for the groups of our second year Certificate III in Agriculture students who have completed their course studies. It has been wonderful getting to know these students, to have been part of nurturing their interest and joy in learning and developing skills for Agriculture today and it is something we are proud of in knowing that they have taken the next step in their career paths in Agriculture with RIST. We wish all departing students the very best, and also welcome students who are continuing on from Certificate III to Certificate IV in Agriculture studies.

This week is National Reconciliation week. An important and timely opportunity for all Australians to learn about our shared histories, cultures, and achievements, and to explore how each of us can contribute to achieving reconciliation in Australia. This “Now More Than Ever” Reconciliation Week, we reflect on our shared history and commit to a unified future. At RIST we are committed to working towards reconciliation and a strong future for all. #NRW2024

Managing the Late Break Field Day – Last week our National Course Manager Bec Malseed attended the exceptionally well turned out event in Nareen. It certainly is dry at present as we wait for rain, So having a field day to inform and assist farmers in managing the health of their livestock, pastures, farm business and most importantly themselves is again an incredible display of rural community resilience, strength and capacity building. We are pleased to advise we will be attending the second Managing the Late Break Field Day in Edenhope next week, On June 5th from 3-6 pm. Find out more information about the event HERE

Opening of short course dates – we have just announced our short course dates for 2024! If you’re keen to learn a new skill or refresh an old one, head to the Short Courses page on our website

Finally in wrapping up this edition of the Round UP, we remind you of our upcoming Information Sessions for Certificate II and Certificate III in Agriculture prospective students.  If you know anyone who is Interested in Agriculture and are passionate about learning in a hands on environment, we invite you to come along.
