RIST Weekly Round Up π€ Sneak Peek! Renovations at our Hamilton campus are coming along nicely β 15 April 2024
In 2023, As part of the State Government commitment to upgrading learning facilities in the regions, RIST was successful in securing funding though the Agriculture TAFE and Training Fund to modernise our Hamilton campus student facilities and build some exciting digital experiences.
Recently we have undergone a capital works project to implement this fantastic opportunity. Upgrades include a complete interior refurbishment to classrooms encompassing new floor coverings, lighting, audio, paint and technology.
A number of exciting Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality simulated training courses are in development, to modernise the way our courses are delivered into the future. A brand new state of the art tech-lab is also being installed where our virtual reality learning equipment will call home. A professional videography room with green-screen facilities, a podcast studio and the installation of new disability and unisex toilets and upgrades to our pavilion are also underway.
Alongside these renovations, some ground upgrades such as new signage and access and landscaping improvements will be taking place in the near future. We will be very excited to share more with you soon!
On Monday last week RIST staff enjoyed a planning day, where we reviewed our year to date and discussed all things future at RIST. There is much to look forward to: upcoming course intakes and also reflecting on the accomplishments of our current students in their respective courses, ranging from Certificate II in Agriculture to the Diploma of Agriculture.
2024 will be a BIG year for RIST and we are so thrilled you are here with us for the ride! This year we are keen to hear more from our community, past and future students. We encourage you to let us know what course offerings youβd like to see being delivered at our RIST campuses and through online learning.
