What a fantastic start to 2026!

As our Certificate II, III and second-year students have settled into their study routines across our vocational programs, the energy and enthusiasm I’m witnessing every day at RIST is truly inspiring.

One of my genuine highlights this month has been the privilege of “being the bus driver” for a number of on-farm visits with our Certificate III students. I never tire of these experiences. The innovation being practised on a daily basis by our remarkable host farmers continues to amaze me — and serves as a powerful reminder of just how dynamic and exciting Australian agriculture is right now.

We also had the enormous pleasure of celebrating our Graduation Ceremony, with 105 students graduating across all qualifications. This is the pinnacle of our year — seeing our students proudly cross the stage in academic attire, surrounded by family, friends, staff and trainers who have all contributed to that moment. Congratulations to every single graduate. You have earned it!
